Providing Care For the Elderly In Essex
We are all aware of the challenges that living with dementia can bring. Our staff team’s years of combined experience mean we can deal with the situations that may occur with understanding and consideration. The wellbeing and happiness of our residents is of paramount importance to us. Everyone is treated as an individual with dignity and respect.
Often a person with dementia feels vulnerable and needs assurance. We have enough staff to give every resident the time and care they need. We always listen to them and help them feel good about themselves. We assist them to make their own choices, promoting as much independence as possible. Residents may retain charge of their own personal spending money or if preferred it can be left in our safe in which case accurate records will be kept by us.
Residents are encouraged to participate in activities which are designed around their requirements in large and small groups or individually, either supported or independently. Some examples are: the popular twice weekly chair aerobics sessions, birthday concerts and themed garden days such as Beach Hut Days. We have the staff to escort residents to the shops and local supermarkets or simply help with a jigsaw puzzle or planting some seeds in the garden. Birthday parties and concerts provide opportunities for regular social events within the home. Visitors are welcome at any time convenient to them and the person they are coming to see.
We have an enhanced GP service, which means the GP visits individual residents on a weekly basis as required. We have regular external services on offer such as hairdressers, beauty therapy, opticians and chiropodists.
We offer help to families and carers who are finding caring for a relative challenging.
